Check In for In-Person Events#

New Feature 🚀

Hybrid and In-person events now have a new tab to allow Admins and Planners to check people in as they show up to events.

Whether it’s selecting from the list of people who RSVPd Yes or searching for walk-ins, easily keep track of attendees while the event is happening, versus waiting for later. Note: as soon as you have confirmed attendees, Wavy will match them to your Group data, helping you understand engagement by Departments, Regions, Seniority Level, etc.

Groups Page 2.0#

New Feature 🚀

Easy, breezy, beautiful Group management is here. ✨

You can now filter and sort Groups by Categories, Type, and search bar. You can set up your own categories, so that Groups are easily organized - such as Departments, Regions, Seniority Level, etc…

These categories will also be used in Analytics 2.0, so organizing this now will lead to cleaner data! You can also create Groups that are not generated automatically via SCIM, for use cases like ERGs, Committees, Clubs, or other groups that may not be logged in your HRIS.

Update to RSVP Deadlines & Invites#

Product Update 🛠️

When you have SCIM and Groups in place, new employees will automatically be invited to events that their Groups have been invited to. If RSVP Deadlines are turned ON, we now prevent invites from being sent if the RSVP deadline has passed.

Improved Analytics Exports#

Product Update 🛠️

We’ve made some improvements to exporting data from Wavy in two places.

  1. Analytics Page: the date format of CSV exports has been changed to be human-readable instead of machine-readable

  2. Post-Event Page: attendee exports now have three new columns in them, including:

  3. Join Time

  4. Leave Time

  5. Duration (minutes), calculated by Leave Time - Join Time

Improved Event Page Design 💅#

Product Update 🛠️

New year, new Event pages! This Event page glow-up will be applicable to Admins, Planners, and Employees, with improvements to:

  • Hero image placement and sizing

  • Key event details (now top right)

  • Host information (now in it’s own box on the right-hand side, versus being part of hero image before)

The goal is to keep information crisp and clear, to maximize event engagement and get employees excited beforehand!

Participation Rates Based on Expected vs. Invited Participants#

Product Update 🛠️

A small, but impactful change to how you set expected participant goals in Wavy. This was previously named minimum participants in the “Plan an Event” flow. This is now the field that says “How many people are you expecting?” in step one.

Note: this number (expected participants) will also be the basis for your participation rate in Analytics, which looks at # of attendees vs. expected participants, to evaluate if you’ve met your goal.

Options to Publish OR Save as Draft#

Product Update 🛠️

When you’ve finished drafting your event, you now have two options:

  1. Publish & send invites

  2. Save as Draft

If you’re ready to get the ball rolling, you can hit publish right away, versus the previous option that prompted you to review your draft first. Don’t worry - publishing will only show up on your calendar. Employees will only get notified once you’ve sent out invites.
